QUESTIONS FREQUENTLY ASKED ABOUT OUR EXHIBITIONS
Q. How much space is needed to present one of
your exhibitions?
A. Generally speaking any exhibition needs a minimal
core content. We feel that it is necessary to employ a minimum of 15 to 18
holograms in an exhibition to achieve maximum impact. We recommend that this
number of holograms be exhibited in a 1500 - 2000 square foot exhibition space.
The actual space required will be dependent upon the size of holograms and
the amount of supportive exhibition material (text, display, interactive models,
etc.)
Q. Will our institution need to provide any special
lighting equipment?
A. In most situations we will provide the necessary
lighting for the holograms in the exhibition. Many holograms today only require
traditional 110 volt incandescent lighting. We work closely with the institution's
exhibition staff to determine lighting needs for other elements of the exhibition
and help to coordinate available resources with our own extensive lighting
inventory.
Q. Are there special power needs for the exhibition?
A. No, 110 volt power is all that is normally required.
It is ideal if electrical sources are available at the ceiling level, either
with outlets or by connection to a track lighting system. Some floor displays
employ electrical power and may require floor or wall outlets.
Q. Do we need to have a completely darkened space
to exhibit the holograms*?
A. No, it is most desirable to have at least a
minimal level of ambient light. This ambient light can generally be provided
by the lighting for the exhibition itself.
**Please note that sunlight is very detrimental to holograms and any sunlight or ambient sunlight must be blocked from the exhibition space. Exterior windows or doorways in exhibition spaces will require covering.
